Tribute & Message From The Family


Samuel J. Marziano, 91, entered into rest on Tuesday November 21, 2017, with his family by his side in Ocean City, New Jersey. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 29, 1926, he was the son of the late Guerino and Maria (DiBenedetto) Marziano. He was the loving and devoted husband of Patricia W. (Walsh) Marziano.

Samuel attended Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, PA. He continued his education at nights attending Penn State University Philadelphia Campus, graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a retired mechanical engineer at the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. In his retirement, he donated his time as a bookbinder at the JOAS Community Center in Atlantic City NJ. Samuel loved to read and tinker. People will remember him for being curious and methodical in life and embodied the values of persistence, devotion, love, and family.

Sam was a Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army Corp of Engineers during WWII from 1944 –1946 attaining the rank of Sergeant. While in the service he was decorated with the European Campaign Medal, Army Occupation Medal and the WW II Victory Medal.

Sam had a deep love and commitment to family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Walsh) of Brigantine New Jersey; his adoring children sons Joseph (Mary) and Michael (Ewa), daughters Theresa (Joseph) Graziano and Patricia; his brother Michael (Jean), sisters Rita Marshall and Mary Cippola (Joe); 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday November 27, 2017, 11:30AM at St Thomas Roman Catholic Church 331 8th St S. Brigantine NJ 08203 where friends may call from 10:30AM to 11:30AM. Final commendation and farewell at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.

Donations may be sent to St Thomas Church or Holy Redeemer Hospice, 6550 Delilah Road #501, Egg Harbor Twp, NJ 08234.
