Tribute & Message From The Family

Elaine Robillard passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2018 at the age of 79. She was born on March 16, 1938 in Gardner, Massachusetts to the late Rosario and Irene Robillard. Elaine attended Arch Bishop Williams High School and the State Teachers' College of Boston (U.Mass) before receiving her Master's Degree in Education from the University of New Hampshire. She then relocated to Pennsylvania to work as a guidance counselor for the Norristown School District, where she served for over twenty years. Elaine had a true love and passion for plants which led her to create her magnificent garden and to become an active member of several garden clubs, including the Norristown Garden Club, The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Indoor Plant Society, and the Outdoor Garden Society. Elaine was a very giving and caring person, and demonstrated this kindness in her philanthropic efforts, and by caring for strays of all kinds.

Elaine is survived by her sisters Rita Gillis (William) and Anne Robillard (Teddi). She is also survived by her nephew Scott Gillis (Cheryl) and her niece Christine Anderson (Ed). Elaine leaves behind many great nieces and nephews, and many close friends, including Patricia Carty and Victoria Cieslak. Elaine was predeceased by her brother Edmond Robillard.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elaine's life on Saturday January 20th at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish, 200 W Germantown Pike in Norristown, from 1 to 3 PM, with her funeral service to immediately follow. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA at www.montgomerycountyspca.org.
