Tribute & Message From The Family

Amy Smithson, age 35, passed away on Friday April 20, 2018 of an accidental heroin overdose, after a long, brave battle with addiction. She is survived by her cherished son Tyler Frangiosa, 12, her parents Paul and Linda (Devine), her grandmother Deena Devine, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Amy never wanted to be defined only by her addictions and mistakes- she was so much more than that. She was a beautiful child who fell into its grip. She would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with her smile and infectious laugh, even while struggling with her demons. She loved her family deeply, especially her son Tyler. She adored spending time with him and being his Mom. The day Amy died a part of us died along with her. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to Amy's Life Celebration at Fairview Village Church, 3044 W. Germantown Pike, Eagleville, PA 19403 on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10-10:50 AM followed by her Memorial Service at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amy's memory to Angels In Motion, 9883 Cowden Street, Philadelphia PA 19115,

Thank you Amy - you were my teacher in many ways in understanding the beast you fought so hard. You were so much more than the disease and such a loving, kind beautiful girl. Brief your stay - lasting your legacy to so many that you helped and loved and guided. It was an honor to know this beautiful lady.

Linda, Paul and Tyler.... I am so sorry. She adored all three of you so much. A part of her will live on through the many people she has touched. Amy would drop everything to be by my side when I needed her, even through her own struggles. Although she is no longer physically here, I hope you take some comfort in knowing that you raised an incredible, selfless, loving, compassionate daughter. She will be missed so much. So many prayers to you and your family through this tough time.
