Oldest of 6 Born in Manila Philippines. Her Parents Petra Villarin Santiago and Jose Santiago. Eldest to her siblings Frederick, Edith, Pepping, Boy and Paco. She was married to Jesus (Manolo)Acosta Bayle and her Children Carina and Ariel Bayle. Her Grandchild Anthony Bayle and his wife Tina. Her great grandchildren Adriana, Kaylani and Tristan. Ariel's step children Asia and Alex and great grandchild Giovani. She went to the University of the Philippines where she studied and became a Dietician. Her heart took her and her family to the United States where she began a new life. There are so many highlights in my mom's life where she made connections with people who have meaningful and fond memories of her. I can only imagine of the ones I was unaware of. My mom is my Hero. Her intelligence, her humor, her compassion, her tenacity, her grace and love of life. My mom was a fighter for life, love, family and friends.

Signs of Alzheimer's/Dementia started at the age of 68, so for over 17 years we've been fighting this Disease. I'm humbled by her courage. She smiled through the battle, faced it with humility, strength and grace. The Disease never defined her. Mom always had kind words and when the words where getting short, the words I LOVE you, Mahal Kita and QueTuQuerro stuck with her. She loved God, her family and community. She was church. Anyone who lived in around Olney on 12 and beyond, new her as Ms Gloria. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved to sing. She loved animals of all kinds especially strays, they showed up and stayed. She fought a good fight here on earth and she was getting tired. God's gates opened up for her and her soul family, her friends and dad have been waiting for her arrival. My mom is, was and always will be a beacon for those who she attracted and was attracted to her. My mom was a beautiful soul who saw beauty and compassion mixed it with humor and kindness and covered it with Love. That's my mom!
