Tribute & Message From The Family

On Monday, March 15, 2021, David J. Funk passed away suddenly. He was 57 years old.
Dave was born and raised in Bucks County, PA. He was well known in the community as a local business owner. Newtown Electronics, formally known as Trevose TV & Electronics, has been a family owned business for over 75 years. Dave had a passion for hamtronics beginning at a young age and his grandfather, Preston Funk, was responsible for selling the first black and white TV in Bucks among other great accomplishments. Dave worked very hard to create a wonderful life for himself and his family. He loved to spend his free time riding his Harley, fishing and hunting with friends and family. Working on his vehicles and motorcycle was a passion for Dave. Those who knew Dave also knew that his favorite places to spend time was in the Northern PA mountains as well as his epic garage, which is decorated with a lifetime of memorabilia. As Dave's passing was unexpected, the world lost a great man far to soon. He is predeceased by his best friend and loving wife, Leslie Dorothy Funk by 7 years. Dave is survived by his daughters Sara, Erin, Aubree and Madison as well as his grandchildren Faith, Novella, Sophia, Cole and partner, Deanna Barrett. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment doing what he loved most. The family would like to celebrate his life with the same spirit he brought to his family and community.

The Life Celebration of David Funk will be held outdoors on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 3pm with the location being at his residence 575 Linton Hill Road Newtown, PA 18940. Family and friends are welcome.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Dad, I didn't have the ability to stand up and make a speech at your funeral. Too many tears. But Maddy found the courage and did her best... I hope that you and mommy were up there holding hands watching over us girls, proud during our celebration for you. It was important to us that it reflected your unique personality. You were/are a great man. I hope that you carried over with you the admiration that the 4 of us girls have for you. You were a great husband and father. You made dreams come true. Although, my heart and my sisters' hearts feel lonely and right now lost just know that through everything, you are so loved. Tell mommy we miss her, too. May your heart be mended now.

To Dave I was his Sista, to me he was my Bro. Dave leaving us now and Dot leaving us 7 years ago is way too soon. These two had me in laughter tears too many times. When in time in need, Dot & Dave were there, no questions asked. Bill, me, Dot & Dave went out and raised hell many a times. Dave & Dot are now together once again raising hell like old times. One of the many things that stuck with me is Sista... "shoot first, ask questions later." Love you guys. Vicky Waite
