Leroy was one of a kind guy who we met at the University of Maryland . He was captain of his football team, President of SAE, Treasurer of his Senior Class. He was also Greek Week King.!!!! He was loved by all who knew him and when we met Ann ,we knew that the two of them would hit it off and they did and got married almost 55 years ago. Whenever, we went to St.Simons Island , Georgia each March, Leroy would send me cards and I loved them so much. He was the only guy I knew who sent cards to friends and they were so appreciated. He loved his three daughters and whenever he talked about them and his two granddaughters, his face would light up. However, his true love was Ann and they had a wonderful life together and so glad that we were among their best friends. Love, Sally and John Nelson

My friend, fraternity brother and teammate was a fine and outstanding man. It was my good fortune to have known him. He was a pillar of optimism and always enjoyed our times together at Terrapin football games. I have special everlasting memories and know he will be missed but never forgotten. God Bless.
