Richard J. Smith, Jr. 95 of Holland PA formerly of Langhorne passed away on July 1, 2021. Beloved husband of 70 years to Mildred Myers Smith. Loving father of Diane Walter (Frank), Deborah Zimmer (Barry) and Darleen Smith. Grandfather of David (Tara), Brian, Kevin (Jen), Ashley (Jamie), Elizabeth (AJ) and Tracy. Great grandfather of Brent, Blake, Cianna, Trace, Quinn, Hadley and Ashton. Dear brother of the late Margaret Smith, Pearl Hanley and Delores Thompson.
After discharge from the Navy, Richard was in the commercial construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for McHugh Brothers and Anderson Construction companies. Richard was a member of IUOE Local 542.
Richard enjoyed watching the Eagles and Phillies with Millie, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, viewing western movies as well as boating and fishing. He and Millie also loved going on long drives in his Ford pick-up truck.
Relatives and friend are invited to Richard's Life Celebration Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM followed by his Memorial Service 11:00AM at Dunn Givnish of Langhorne, 378 S. Bellevue Ave., followed by his interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/.

I didn't know him as well as others but when we did talk it was all good energy from him to me an likewise. A man of great knowledge he was I know he will be truly miss by all especially by grandmom the woman of his life for 71 years through it all❤

I just want you and everyone else to know I love y'all an no matter what we are FAMILY an I'm a strong believer in that no matter what's transpired throughout this life. I've always wanted to get closer to this side of my family an I've tried an tried an I'm still trying! I'm the oldest grand child of grandpa I remember when grandpa an grandma use to drive down ro North Carolina to visit me an Claudette all the time! It was so much joy in that!!
