Tribute & Message From The Family

Ernest P. Wilson, III "Trey" of Harleysville, Pa passed away on July 20, 2021 at the age of 66. Ernest is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Diane (nee Kobe); loving children Amy Tommasini (Joseph) and Kyle Wilson (Lori); cherished granddaughters Zoey and Kenley; and his mother and 3 brothers. He is preceded in death by his father and sister.
Known to many family and friends as Trey, he was born in Mineola, New York to Ernest Jr. and Ethel (Johnston) Wilson. From there his family relocated to Plymouth Meeting, PA where he graduated high school from Plymouth Whitemarsh in 1972. He continued with his education and went on to receive a degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University.
Trey excelled in his career and proudly served for 31+ years in the U.S Government working for OPM, DCIS and the NRC.
In September of 1983, Trey married Diane and had 2 children, both of which were his true sources of pride and joy. Family was always very important to him.
Trey was an athlete all his life. In his younger years, he loved playing basketball and baseball, for both school and recreation. Even at family picnics, he would always participate in various yard games. Later in life, he was often found on the golf course, telling jokes with friends and relaxing with "a cold one".
Relatives and friends are invited to Ernest's Life Celebration on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 2-4 PM, followed by his memorial service at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 W. Condolence & Memory Journal

My condolences to the family. It was so sad to hear of Ernie's passing. We worked together at the NRC for a number of years on enforcement and allegation issues. We shared many jokes, stories, rounds of golf and beers. He was one of the good guys I had the pleasure to work with. Rest In Peace.
