Linda J. Moorhead, 72, a life long Newtown resident, died at St. Mary Medical Center with her family by her side.
Linda is a 1966 graduate of Council Rock High School and a life member of the Newtown Fire Assoc. Ladies Auxiliary. She is a member of the Newtown United Methodist Church and she was a volunteer at Pickering Manor. Linda worked at Goodnoe's Farm and Dairy Bar for several years. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, crocheting and meals at Meglio Pizza. Spending time with family, friends and her grandchildren were the most important time of her day.
Linda is the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel Forsyth and the loving husband of 50 years to Norman A. Moorhead and the loving mother to Karen Moorhead Dolton and her husband Kevin and Jeffrey and his wife Angie Moorhead. She is the proud grandmother of Grace Marie and Jake Robert Moorhead. She is also survived by her sister and brother, Sandra and her husband Donald Leist, Robert and his wife Ruth Forsyth and many cousins and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Life Celebration on Thursday, September 23 from 9:30 to 11 AM and to her funeral service at 11AM at the Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, 323 Washington Ave, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be in Newtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Linda's name may be made to Pickering Manor, 226 N. Lincoln Ave, Newtown, PA 18940.
