Tribute & Message From The Family

Mary McFarland (nee Wible) of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 22, 2021( 65 years old). Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of William and Florence (nee Sadecki) Wible. Mary is survived by her loving husband Michael McFarland, her children Michael, Laura, and Jill, her sister Deborah Wible, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Life of the party, visitor of 47 states, and self-described "funniest person in the family," Mary will be tremendously missed by anyone who has ever met her. She loved road trips, especially cross-country journeys to visit national parks and to see friends far and wide. The only thing Mary loved more was her family. If anyone locates the rest of her Bruce Springsteen polaroids from 1978, please forward them to the family. They're an essential part of the estate.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12:00pm until her Memorial Service at 4:00pm at the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Children's Fund at CHOP (www.chop.edu/giving) in Mary's memory.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I knew Mary through working at Crayola and our relationship with Expeditors. I am so very sad to hear of Mary's passing. I got to know Mary and enjoyed when we spoke on the phone. Her laughter was contagious. I knew there was a smile on the other end of the line. I'll miss her sharing her stories and our talks and emails together. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends, that we may find comfort during this most difficult time.

Mike,
I am so, so sad and shocked to get this news. Some of my fondest and happiest memories were with you and Mary, Mike, Kathy, Ed and Sue when we were in our early twenties. We had a blast and Mary was a hoot! It has been years and years but I thought of all of you often. I am keeping you and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers, Mike. My deepest condolences.

Mary was my next door neighbor. She and Mike made me feel so welcomed and helped me with a lot of home ownership issues here. She was very kind and very funny. There was never a conversation I had with Mary where I wasn't laughing. Even if my downstairs had flooded too many times. She will be missed very much. My condolences and prayers. Sincerely, Jackie Young

Candle

Oh no! I haven't seen Mary for years, we hung out all 4 years of Little Flower. One birthday I shocked her and gave her The Who Album, Tommy, for her birthday..that may still be in her family's possession.
When my husband was going thru his bout with cancer, Mary gave us encouragement.
I'm deeply saddened. As I do not live in PA, it will not be possible to be at her Celebration of Life but my heart and soul will be there.
All of my deepest condolences and sympathies to her family and friends.
