Tribute & Message From The Family

Beverly Mae Richardson 82 of Newtown, Pennsylvania passed away on February 2, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice in Newtown. She was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn Harris Richardson. She attended South Union High School in her hometown of Uniontown, Pennsylvania graduating in 1957.
Beverly was a long time resident of Newtown having moved there to babysit the son of a cousin. Her cousin later returned to his Pittsburgh area roots, but she stayed on. She always looked forward to those trips back to Uniontown to visit family on holidays.
In 1967, she completed two years of training as a Radiological Technician at the Mercer Hospital in Trenton, NJ and passed the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians. Beverly was very proficient in her work and empathetic with patients. She retired after working at Mercer for 39 years.
Beverly also was an EMT for the Newtown Ambulance Squad for 14 years. She loved the Ambulance Squad and spent all her extra time there, even staying overnight. She would have been seen riding in the ambulance in the Newtown Memorial Day Parade. Beverly was very knowledgeable about medicine and a great source of information about medical questions.
Although not attending a particular church, Beverly was a religious person. She enjoyed being around people but, in later years, health issues caused her to spend a lot of time alone except for the companionship of her loved cat that lived with her. She did crossword puzzles and watched sports on television. She was an avid sports fan.
At this time services are private. Donations in Beverly's memory may be made to the Newtown Ambulance Squad at https://www.newtownambulance.org/subscriptiodonate.
Life Celebration services entrusted to Swartz Givnish of Newtown.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Beverly and I worked together as X-ray technologist at Mercer hospital in Trenton for many years. Bev was one of the kindest person you would want to meet. She was very compassionate person to her patients. We enjoyed attending parties at the hospital and many parties and holidays with the Hutchinson family. May you Rest In Peace Bev.
