Mary R. O'Brien passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. She was as 90 years old. Mary was born in Philadelphia to Mary and Paul Cunningham. Mary worked as a manager in the mailroom at the Budd Company for over 40 years and retired at age 60. She was an avid bowler and Elvis's biggest fan. Mary also enjoyed weekly movies and reading the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy and her sister-in-law Eleanor O'Brien. She is survived by her beloved niece, Karen Mealey (Kevin), and nephew, Patrick O'Brien (Patricia); and was Nana to Taylor, Kaelin, and Sean Mealey.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's life celebration on Saturday February 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Catholic Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia 19154. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

Mary was a lovely neighbor. We missed her when she moved. She always spoke proudly of her niece and nephew. I hope her last several years at St. Joseph's Manor were comfortable.
