Murphy, Joan D. (nee Agostini), 87, formerly of East Oak Lane and Margate, NJ passed away on March 5, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, Joan was the daughter of Lawrence V. Agostini and Catharine (Iochum) Agostini. She was a 1952 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward J. Murphy, Sr., and three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her dear children Edward J. Jr. (Suzanne), Patrick J. (Theresa), Joan Mary Silva (the late Edward), Joseph E. (Lisa), Bernadette Jablonoski (Dennis, Sr.), John J., Vincent J., William J. (Cathy), Mary, Catharine Zahal (Yosi), Veronica Gray (the late David, Sr.), and the late Lawrence and Anthony. Joan is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, March 11, at 9:45 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, 11 N. Kenyon Avenue, Margate NJ. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Saturday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Divine Providence Village, 686 Old Marple Road, Springfield, PA 19064.

So sad to hear of Mrs. Murphy passing. Condolences to the entire Murphy crew. We had my aunt Claire's funeral the same day. They Graduated Little Flower together. May they both rest in peace.

Joan and I became friends at Little Flower High School and shared wonderful, happy times throughout these many years. I will miss her terribly but will never forget her or her Ed. Our life has been enriched by having Joan in it. God bless her and her wonderful family.

My Mom“s dear friend of over 70 years who became my friend in my adult years. God bless you Aunt Joan. You and Uncle Ed left an incredible legacy of family love. I know you are enjoying your heavenly reunion!
