Tribute & Message From The Family
James Patrick Daly Sr, age 70, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Jim was the beloved husband of Linda (Brauckmann) Daly, and was happily married for 49 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Stephen and Regina Daly(Leonard). He is survived by brother Kevin Daly, and sister Muin Daly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy and Stevie.
In addition to his wife and siblings, he is survived by his loving children, James Patrick Daly Jr and Shannon Daly Striner (Jason);and two granddaughters Haley and Sienna. He cherished every moment he spent with his family and adored his granddaughters.
He was a husband, father, PopPop, and brother. He graduated from Father Judge High School, and attended Murray State University in Kentucky. He followed in his father's footsteps as an iron worker and eventually owned and operated a Nationwide Insurance agency in his hometown of Mayfair for over 30 years.
He was an avid Notre Dame football fan, and thoroughly enjoyed golfing with his wife and many friends in their retirement home in the Villages, FL.
Jim had a larger than life personality. He made fast friends wherever he went. He enjoyed every minute of life and didn't waste a second of it. He was the patriarch and leader of his family. He will be profoundly missed by everyone that had the great fortune to be in his company.
Family and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 23rd, from 9 – 11 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. Condolence & Memory Journal
Having known Jim since we were five years old, I can honestly say that he was my closest friend and the one person I could always count on for a laugh.
I can never replace him, but I can take his memory with me until I can see him again.
“Don’t cut ‘em up”
That will always be his saying.
