Tribute & Message From The Family

Joan P. Moore, of Philadelphia, passed away on March 29th 2022 at the age of 75. Joan is survived by her loving husband Donald E. Moore of 49 years and mother to Donald C. Moore (Donna), Sharon P. Dattilo (Anthony), Michael P. Moore, the late Kevin P. Moore, and Thomas R. Moore. Joan will also be greatly missed by her sister Maryanne Weicke (Bob) and leaves behind an impressive legacy in her 11 grandchildren; Anthony Jr., Nicholas, Colin, Isabella, Caitlin, Nina, Gavin, Carter, Regan, Giuliana, and Aidan.

Joan was born in Philadelphia in the Kensington section to the late Phillip Gallagher and Irma Camm. She was a proud graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girl, class of 1965.

In Margate she met her future husband, Donald, and were married in 1972. They raised five children together.
After raising her children, Joan began a new career with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She worked in the Chancery and the Office for the Religious as a secretary as well as helped with the payroll responsibilities.

Joan was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed the friends she made, and the excitement of the game. She particularly enjoyed the games at St. Martha's over the years. She also loved classic movies like Gone with the Wind, and also had a fresh joke ready. Joan was a comedian and prankster amongst her family. More than anything, Joan enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed the memories they made in North Wildwood.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joan's life celebration memorial service on Thursday April 7th at St. Martha Catholic Church from 930-1030AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30AM; interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
