Tribute & Message From The Family

Gerald P. Smith III "Jerry" of Philadelphia passed away suddenly on April 10, 2022 at the age of 65.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Colleen (nee McShane), loving father of Jennifer Smith (Jim Brown) and Jerry Smith (Sarah Linn) dear son of Mary Ann Smith ( the late Gerald P. Smith II), brother of Jeanie Smith (Bob Moyer), Kathleen (Jim Skala) Tim Smith (Kate),
Matt Smith (Sue), Tricia (Jim Thompson) and P.J. Smith.

Jerry is survived by 18 Nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. He had an extra special relationship with his great niece Valerie who would make him smile the minute she entered the room.

Jerry was raised in West Oak Lane. He attended Cardinal Dougherty and graduated in 1974. He was a 40 year employee of Albert Einstein Medical Center in the Radiology Department from which he retired in 2019.

Jerry was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and could always be found sitting in his basement chair enjoying the games. He was a proud member of the Big Six along with his wife Colleen, and family members Bob, Betty, Cassy and Teak.

Jerry always joked that the McShane sisters were obsessed with taking pictures. It was always the off camera memories with Joann & Harry, Kelly & Jack and Roe & Scott that Jerry appreciated more.
