So sorry to hear of Johns passing. My prayers to the family. John was a great guy and shared many laughs together at Greater Kensington String Band. He surely was a good man and will be missed.

I met John on our first day at high school. We were great pals from the get-go, but after I left town to train as a science & chemistry teacher - later working in that capacity for 30 years at "Queen Elizabeth High School" (QEHS), Calgary, Canada - we lost touch. We reconnected about 15 years ago through the magic of email, and swapped many a yarn about the good old days. I remember him as a kind, compassionate guy - a good listener - but with a fully developed sense of humor! My condolences to his family. Pete (Peter Drake), Hexham, Victoria, Australia
