On behalf of the Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipes and Drums Band I extend our sincerest condolences to the entire Manko family. As a member of the band Ed was dedicated to the mission of the band. As Drum Major he spent countless hours focusing on the development of marching skills, uniform sharpness, and cohesive musical performances. He played a key role in advancing the band toward the future. We will miss his command presence, humor, and his dedication to firefighter, police, and veteran families. Ed cared, plain and simple. God's speed good friend! May God bless the Manko family.
