Tribute & Message From The Family

Robert F. "Bob" Randolph, age 86, of Holland, PA. died peacefully on Thursday evening, April 28, 2022, with his family by his side.

Bob was born in Lambertville, New Jersey on Christmas Eve in 1935, and raised by "Mom" Elsie Long Janifer. Bob often shared many fond memories of his childhood with his brothers and friends, as he enjoyed hunting small game, fishing, swimming, getting into a bit of mischief but most of all working on or driving fast cars.

A long-time mechanic and professional truck driver, Bob loved driving 18 wheelers. Throughout his career he drove for several owners, including Randolph Brother's Trucking. He was proud of his craft, a hard worker and never liked being idle. He could fix anything and gave everything. In fact, he did not officially retire from working until he was 84 years old.

In 1953, Bob met the love of his life, Doris Wilson Randolph, whom he eventually married. Joining her in Newtown, PA., they enjoyed sixty years of marriage and together raised two loving children, Guy, and Gayle. A proud and dedicated father, he could often be found playing ball with all the neighborhood kids, driving a carload for ice cream or day trips to the Jersey shore. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his kids at a wrestling match, football game or ballet recital. An avid football fan, Bob had loads of Eagles' gear, his favorite team. Though not a member, he reveled in his contribution as a meticulous groundskeeper of his family's house of worship, Macedonia Baptist Church, Newtown, PA for many years.

Faced with many health challenges over the years, he was likened to the "Bionic Man." He stayed strong and never quit. However, after the recent passing of his wife, Doris, in his profound grief his health quickly declined. Deeply saddened, we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his eternal love.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; mother Bessie E. Randolph; "Mom" Elsie; daughter Kym Richards; granddaughters Davin Randolph, Shannon Richards and Elan Evans; brothers Bernard, Roland, Ralph, Ronald and Burnette Randolph and sister Annette Randolph. Left to cherish his memory are son Guy (Deanna), daughter Gayle (Guy); grandchildren Jarrod, Jessica, Whitney, Jasmine (Sean), Dominique, Nya, Avery, Shekeira (Kevin, Jr.), Shaun, Shelaine, and Sarah; great- grandchildren Kevin, Kingston, Kali, Kash, Malcom, Taliyah and Gabriel (his "little buckaroo"). He is also survived by his sister Lillian Snyder; brother Larry Randolph; sisters-in-law Joan (John) Jackson, Carolyn Rector, Lois (Jim) Rector; Joan C. Randolph, Joan Randolph and a host of extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to his public viewing to be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 10-11:00am with funeral services to begin immediately after at Macedonia Baptist Church, 218 N. State Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Masks must be worn by all attending with seating limited due to Covid restrictions. Interment will follow at Lighthouse Hill Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
