Tribute & Message From The Family

Mark A. Collins, of Philadelphia and Bensalem, on Thursday May 12th, passed away at the age of 52. Mark was the loving husband of Patricia "Tricia" M. Collins (nee Schmidt) for 24 years, and the caring father to Anna M. Collins. Mark will also be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Patricia Schmidt, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, and family.

Mark was raised in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia by his late parents; Lawrence and Anna (nee Groves). He attended St. Martin of Tours elementary school and then La Salle College High School where he proudly graduated in 1987.

Mark was a passionate Philadelphia professional sports fan. He loved to watch the Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers, but enjoyed the Eagles most of all. He proudly held season tickets with his brother-in-law, Jeff Schmidt, for the Birds for 30+ years where they attended many pivotal games in Eagle's history.

Mark was a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; Division 39 on Tulip Street. There he made many friends, and enjoyed the years he spent with them.

Mark also enjoyed traveling with his friends and family over the years. They took many trips to Ocean View Resort, where they owned a trailer, as well as Key West, Bahamas. And Mexico.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mark's Life Celebration Memorial Service on Wednesday May 18th from 930AM-11AM at St. Anselm Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11AM; interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Mark's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
