Obituary

Alice T. Clerkin 87 of Langhorne formerly of Philadelphia passed away on April 1, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Clerkin. Loving mother of Thomas Clerkin (Kim), Kevin Clerkin (Lori), Wayne Clerkin (Jean), Brian Clerkin (Louise), Keith Clerkin (Dina), Mark Clerkin (Claire), Allison Flanigan (Dan), Neil Clerkin (Renee) and Lisa Kelly. Predeceased by her sons Michael Clerkin (Luann) and Gregory Clerkin (Cindy). Grandmother of 25, great grandmother of 6. Dear sister of Ann Brockington (John) and Richard O'Donnell (Janice). Predeceased by her siblings Eileen White (Late James), Hugh O'Donnell (Marilyn) and Robert O'Donnell. Predeceased by her cherished friend Raymond Mackin.

Alice was a long-time resident of and raised her family in the Bustleton section of Philadelphia where she was a devoted parishioner of Maternity BVM Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed a long career as a bookkeeper with Inflight restaurants where she made numerous friendships that she cherished dearly her entire life.

After the passing of her beloved husband Thomas, Alice moved to Bucks County and was a very contented and happy resident of Eastern Dawn Mobile Home Community in Langhorne, PA for the last 23 years. She befriended many of her neighbors over the years, all of whom showed her kindness and generosity and checked in with her regularly. Alice was an active member of Assumption Roman Catholic Church.

Alice became a member of and volunteer at the Neshaminy Senior Center, which was the source of much joy, happy memories, and numerous friendships. She enjoyed playing on the Center's Wii Bowling League, playing Bunko, taking day trips and center's annual Doo Wop weekends in Wildwood Crest. Alice loved card games, dominoes and puzzles and was an avid reader. She traveled extensively throughout her life and had seen most of the United States while traveling by RV. While she had many friends and many interests, Alice's family was always her number one priority. She especially enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and took great joy and pride in their development and accomplishments over the years.

Due to the recent developments in the COVID-19 Pandemic, the services will now be held at a later date per the family for the health and safety of their family and friends. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience.

In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's memory may be made to Neshaminy Senior Citizens Center, 1842 Brownsville Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 or to the Make a Wish Foundation at www.secure2.wish.org.
