Obituary

Angelina Dawn Costa Joniec "Lina", of Woodlyn PA, passed away on July 20th 2019, at the age of 26. Lina is survived by her loving parents Michael and Dawn, as well as her siblings; Anya E. Varrone (Nikolas), Sally A. Joniec (Orville Robinson), and Benjamin M. Joniec (Christina). Lina was the adoring aunt to Jolie and Maeve Robinson, Tobias and Allathea Varrone, and Kennedy Marie Joniec. Lina is also survived by her caring grandparents; Theodore and Gail Costa. Lina will also be greatly missed by her extended family and her many friends.

Lina will be remembered in many wonderful ways at different times by those who knew and loved her. She was a competent and talented young woman of many skills who accomplished so much good during her short life. She was so many things to so many people, the beloved youngest daughter/sister of her family, a diligent student of both American Sign Language and Anthropology, she was a true and loyal friend, a talented visual artist who gave us many beautiful works to enjoy and remember her by. She was a great travel companion, and in no small way a true angel who saved many lives even as she endured her own struggle with addiction. She was so many wonderful things, but above all and to all she met she was kind. Her kindness was a happy light that will shine on through all of her memories. She always believed the best of everyone, always had an ear, a shoulder, or a hand to lend. Her kindness radiated through her and made her natural beauty more rich and profound than simple good looks. She glowed, and she shared that glow with everyone.
Lina's happy glow was brightest when she was listening to music. She loved to be out in a crowd dancing to some of her favorite bands at music festivals or concerts with her friends. She was unselfconscious and enthusiastic and would shout, dance, and sing along, and her joy was contagious to those around her. She loved sharing music with her family as well, many happy hours were spent listening to a wide range of genres from her father's eclectic collection.
She also truly enjoyed spending time with animals, in addition to her grieving family she leaves behind her turtle, two cats and a dog, all of whom she rescued, devoted a great deal of care and time to, and loved very much.
Lina loved to be out in nature. Camping and hiking or simply sitting someplace beautiful and peaceful just enjoying the view were some of her favorite activities. She also loved traveling, particularly to natural bodies of water. She enjoyed the beach, loved to go to 'swimming holes' with her friends and with family, but opportunities to hit the road for any reason were always greeted with great enthusiasm. May her beautiful soul enjoy this last and greatest chance to travel, and may she find Rest and Peace at the end of her journey.
