Anna "Jean" Ciolko - 90, Passed peacefully Monday February 6, 2017. She was born May 5, 1926 in Eldred Pa. Jean was the daughter of the late Fred and Mable Whitmore (nee Griffith) and the wife of the late Walter "Wally" Ciolko. After graduating college Jean ventured with her girlfriends to Atlantic City for the summer. She worked at the Haddon Hall Hotel on the boardwalk and it was there she met her best friend, business partner, and loving husband Wally. Together they opened their first retail store Wally's on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, Pa. They later relocated to Phoenixville , Pa where they opened their second store. In 1956 they purchased a plot of land 1205-1207 W. Brigantine Ave., were they built and opened Wally's Fashions. For many years Jean would commute between the two stores, but in 1975 she permanently made Brigantine her home. She continued working in the store until she retired. In her later years Jean was a snowbird wintering in Florida, but her heart was always in Brigantine. Jean is survived by her only daughter Lynn Ciolko, who continues in her footsteps running Wally's Fashions. Her son-in-law Dr. Gerald Ginsberg, her brother-in- laws William Ciolko his wife Joan, Stanley Ciolko and his wife Joan, best friend Dottie Tierney, her little dog "Joey", and many other family members and friends who she loved. She will be truly missed.

Friends and family are invited to Anna's Life Celebration at Keates- Plum Funeral Home, 3112 W. Brigantine Ave. Brigantine on Friday February 17, 2017 from 11am to12noon. Funeral service will follow at 12noon. Interment will be private.
