Anne Cibulla "Annie" 77, of Margate went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday February 9, 2014.
Predeceased by her parents Gus and Kate Cibulla and special nephew Jimmy O'Hara. Survived by sister Elizabeth O'Hara, brother-in-law James O'Hara and many dear friends.
Anne grew up in Ventnor where her parents owned and operated the Mardale Market on Martindale and Ventnor Aves where she loved working. Anne was active in sports and played and coached basketball in the "Hutch" league. WIllie growing up Anne's second home was the beach. She was the #1 mascot on beach 8. Taking care of Billy Howarth and Frank Hendree her favorite lifeguards.
Anne graduated from A.C.H.S. in 1958 and attended Glassboro where she graduated in 1962 as a teacher of grades K-8. She taught in the Margate Schools and after receiving her Master's Degree became the guidance counselor. She served in the Margate Schools for 30 years. In 1990 she received the Governor's Teacher of the Year Award.
After retirement, Anne started another career of volunteer service wherever she was asked to serve. In 2010 Anne was asked to be president of the Margate Concerned Citizens Group. She spoke of the group with fondness because of its purpose. Anne also continued her love of teaching by volunteering her services whenever someone needed extra help.
Anne will certainly be remembered as a lover of animals. Her dog Lance was very special and they certainly did enjoy those long walks together
Anne will also be remembered as a person whose faith was a significant part of her life. She was always involved in the activities of her church and felt blessed to have a personal relationship with the Lord. Anne always felt her life was filled with many blessing. Wonderful parents, a great sister and brother-in-law and a nephew who she loved very much. Anne was also blessed with many special friends. One of her greatest joys was being a teacher and counselor for so many great students.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anne's Life Celebration on Saturday February 15, 2014 from 10 to 10:30am at the Holy Trinity Parish Blessed Sacrament Church, 11 North Kenyon Ave Margate NJ 08402. Words of remembrance will be at 10:30am. Memorial Mass will follow at 11am. Committal Service Friday February 14, 2014 at 11am at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Mays Landing.
