Obituary

Anne G. Small (nee Coyne) of Huntingdon Valley passed away on May 31, 2019. She was 62 years old. Anne is survived by her beloved husband Vincent, her loving children, Sean (Katherine), Daniel (Nora), Kevin (Keri), Colleen (Daniel Byrne), and Vincent (Kate), and her dear brothers, Thomas Coyne (Stephen Duffy), Edward Coyne (Akemi), Lawrence Coyne (Rie), Robert Coyne (Jeanne), and Stephen Coyne (Shirley). Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren Loretta Anne, Genevieve, and Francis Small.

Anne was born in Olney and attended Saint Ambrose Elementary School until seventh grade, again her family moved to Fox Chase where she finished her final year of elementary school at Saint Cecilia Elementary. Surrounded by five brothers, it is not surprising that Anne was athletic and independent. Some may recall 10-year-old Anne on roller skates twirling fiery batons and catching them behind her back. Anne went to Cardinal Dougherty High School where she met life-long friends and could be found most days on the basketball court. After graduating high school in 1974, Anne met Vince in Sea Isle City and her life would change forever. Anne and Vince married in 1976 and over the next 11 years they had 5 children. Most who knew Anne during this time will remember her luminously happy with a child on her hip, one in a stroller, and another holding her hand. It was figuring out how to feed a hungry family that Anne became an amazing cook who loved to try new dishes and desserts every week. Anne's children were her world and she dedicated her life to raising them. As the children got older, Anne became more involved in running the family plumbing and heating business with Vince and made sure the office ran seamlessly. Anne was also passionately creative, spending countless hours crafting gifts for her family and friends. When she wasn't in her studio, she was either in the garden, with her chickens, or looking for antiques with Vince to fill their home with treasures large and small. Anne could connect with anyone and loved nothing more than to welcome people into her home and spend time with her family and friends over a meal or poolside. Anne would light up a room with her laugh and was truly vibrant.

Anne was admired and looked up to by those that knew her because of her genuine warmth and compassion. Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
