Obituary

Arthur M. Ahlum passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at his residence in Plumsteadville. He was 95 years old.

He was born in Woodbourne, PA and was the son of the late Artis and Mabel (Saxon) Ahlum.

Arthur was the husband of Mildred R. (Laino). They were married for 67 years. He was the father of Glenn (Donna), and Cindy Causey (Harold); and the grandfather of Jeremy and the late Trevor Cousins. He was the brother to Edith Weber, Verna Callahan, and the late Arnold, Earl, Monty, Paul, Mae Linington and Ruth Brown.

Arthur was a World War II army veteran serving in the Pacific. He worked in manufacturing most of his life, but was also a farmer and ran a service station for a period of time.

Arthur was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Hulmeville, PA.

He loved mowing the lawn, doing jigsaw puzzles and was an avid Phillies and NASCAR racing fan. He also enjoyed rooting at softball games for his son Glenn when Glenn played for the Shirt Gallery Team.

Family and friends are invited to Art's Life Celebration, from 10:30-11AM, Monday, Feb. 3rd at Dunn/Givnish of Langhorne, 378 S. Bellevue Ave., followed by his Memorial Service at 11AM.
