Obituary

Barbara Ann Garcia of Collegeville passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday evening, August 19, 2021. Born in Philadelphia on December 6, 1955, she was the beloved daughter to the late William and Rita Zeiger (nee Matteo) and sister to William Zeiger of Mays Landing, New Jersey.
Shortly after graduating Little Flower High School in 1973, Barb met the love of her life and best friend Julio Garcia on the Broad Street subway in North Philadelphia. They married in 1978 and began their family with the birth of her cherished daughter Amanda Elizabeth. She loved her family with every fiber of her soul and was very proud of her daughter.
Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Barbara was extremely accomplished in her career as a Senior Director, Global Human Resources Business Partner. She dedicated over 25 years at Sanofi US. She was awarded her professional lifetime accreditation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Barbara earned her Bachelor of Science in Management (Magna Cum Laude) and Master of Science in Leadership (Outstanding Academic Achievement at Graduate Level) at Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA.
Barbara loved spending time with her family going to concerts, musical theatre, traveling, spending time at their beach home in Ocean City Maryland and cuddling with her grand-puppy, Reef. Barbara fought her battle with cancer fiercely and gracefully. She never lost hope, her sense of humor or beautiful smile. Even through her health challenges, she was always a ray of light in this world with her caring heart and selflessness. She is described as a perfect soul and will be missed by all who love her.
Barbara is now at peace in the arms of our loving Lord.
