Clara Casals, 92, of Philadelphia and Langhorne, passed away on January 30, 2017. She was born in Antilla, Cuba, the daughter of Manuel Pena and Luz Fresneda. Clara was a Eucharistic Minister in several churches and a founding member of the Cuban Community Center in Philadelphia.

Clara was the wife of the late Miguel Casals, who passed away in 1992. She is survived by her children, Michael Casals (Patricia) and Clara Arizmendi (Enrique), her grandchildren: Lizette Senatore (Vincent), Michelle Yost (Andrew), Rick Arizmendi (Andrea), and Michael Arizmendi (Kaitlin), nine great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Pilar Rodriguez, of Cuba, and Lucy Carral, of Florida, along with many nephews and nieces. The family of Clara Casals expresses their gratitude for the excellent care given by the nurses and staff of Crestview Center in Langhorne.

Relatives and friends are invited to Clara's Life Celebration on Friday, February 3rd, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Bristol Pike & Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
