Colleen (née DiGangi) passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 4th, 2017, at the age of 61, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Queens, NY, Colleen was the youngest daughter of Carl and Regina DiGangi. and devoted sister to Robert, Gerard, and Regina. 

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Gerry, Colleen is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Carey; two daughters, Shannon (Michael) of Gilbertsville, PA and Katie (Steve) of Levittown, PA; granddaughter Natalie and honorary grandchildren Stephen, Ryleigh and Deaccon, who she adored.  She is also survived by her brother Robert "Gee", sister Gina (Ted), and many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

Throughout life, Colleen strived to be the very best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother to many, sister-in-law and friend.  She had a unique sense of humor and a gift for making everyone she met feel special.  Colleen was loving, kind, selfless and humble, and the true definition of beautiful inside and out.  Her greatest joys in life were being a mother to her two girls and Mimi to her granddaughter Natalie.

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, October 13th at Beck Givnish Life Celebration Funeral Home, 7400 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA 19055.  There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA 19047 on Saturday, October 14th, a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
