Concetta Esposito passed away on January 4, 2017. She was 87. Concetta was preceded in death by her parents, Letizia and Salvatore Panebianco and her brother Louis Panebianco.

Concetta (Connie) Esposito was born in New York City on October 5, 1929. Shortly thereafter, her parents returned to Lauropoli, Italy, where she grew up. Connie came back to the United States as a young woman after marrying her husband Antonio, to whom she was married for 66 wonderful years. Connie was trained in Italy as a seamstress and upon returning to America she worked in New York City's garment district. She eventually started her own small sewing business and developed a loyal clientele that would travel many miles from NYC to visit "Connie the Dressmaker."

Connie's greatest joy in life was to be surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly. She was a wonderful cook, and she loved nothing more than to prepare fabulous meals for her family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Connie is survived by by her husband Antonio, her children Angelo (Linda) Esposito, Emily (Thomas) Franeta, and Sal (Donna) Esposito. Connie will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Stephanie and Christine, and her great-grandchildren Emma, Lucia and Noelle.
