Obituary for David A. Dill

December 13, 2021
Yardley, Pennsylvania

David A. Dill, 70 of Yardley passed away on December 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Cheryl Eastman Dill. Loving father of Stephanie C. Dill and Andrea P. Terril (Parker). Grandfather of Ava and Ilsa. Dear brother of Priscilla Carroll, Brenda Troup (Kenneth), Noel Dill (Susan), Ward Dill (Wendy), Kenneth Dill (Cheryl), Carol Herts (Kenneth) and Eleanor Taylor (David). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

David developed a passion for business at an early age, which he would carry on throughout his life. As a child, he was a member of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, which afforded him opportunities to travel abroad and play at Symphony Hall in Boston.

David graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in economics and a minor in math. He went on to receive his MBA from MIT. While pursuing his studies, David enjoyed playing backgammon and bridge for money, using his winnings to pay his expenses through school. While at MIT, David would meet his adoring wife Cheryl, and also have his master's thesis published in The Journal of Finance.

David had a long and lustrous career at IBM before eventually branching out, overseeing IPO's and sales of multiple companies. He and his family moved quite often throughout his career, which did not lessen his love of travel. Growing up, David's parents endeavored to show their children every state in the U.S. A tradition that he expanded with his own family, venturing to Africa, Europe, and many other locales.

December 27th would have marked his 46th wedding anniversary. He adored his two daughters and was blessed with two wonderful grandchildren who brought him great joy.
