Obituary

Deborah Elaine Mowday passed away on April 18, 2018 at age 67 after a short illness. Born August 6, 1950 in Chester PA, Deborah was the daughter of Iva L. (Shaffer) and Archie T. Trader, Jr. She resided in West Norriton PA with her loving husband Russell Mowday and stepdaughter Regina whom she loved and cared for.

Debbie was the loving mother of William Gordon Savage Jr. (Karen) and Christofer Thomas Savage. She was the cherished mom mom of Kaitlin and Bennett Savage. Debbie is also survived by her sister Robin Gaskill (Glenn) and her nephew Brian Gaskill. Debbie was previously married to William Gordon Savage, Sr. of Glenolden PA for 34 years.

Debbie graduated from Ridley High School (Ridley PA) in 1968, received her Baccalaureate in Nursing from Elizabethtown College and became a Registered Nurse in 1973. Debbie felt called to the service of others ever since reading about Florence Nightingale and she would go on to serve for 45 years as a faithful nurse and caregiver to those who were sick or in need.

Debbie enjoyed exploring and growing her spiritual relationship with the Lord, spending time with her family and friends, and going to the library. Debbie was an active member of Visitation Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Trooper PA and active in The Legion of Mary and OASIS, a women's prayer group.
Relatives and friends are invited to Debbie's Life Celebration at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403 on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 AM. At 10:30, friends are encouraged to share memories about Debbie, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Marcus Hook PA.
