Obituary for Dennis F. McLane, Jr.

September 3, 2021
Warminster, Pennsylvania

Dennis F. McLane Jr., of Warminster, Pa., passed away suddenly on September 3, 2021. He was 82 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., and raised in the Germantown section of the city, he was the son of Dennis F. McLane Sr. and Catherine (nee Glazer). He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou McLane and his brothers Neil McLane and Adrian "Hap" McLane.

Dennis is survived by his three children Dennis F. McLane III (Lisa), Denise McLane (Bert Williamson) and Donna Kieffer (Russell), as well as his five grandchildren, John Walsh, Patrick Walsh, Kevin McLane, Kim Class, and Stephanie Kieffer and one great grandchild, Jack McLane.

Dennis, or "Denny" as he was known to his friends, was a 50-year resident of Warminster, PA. He was a loving husband who worked his hardest every day to ensure that his family was cared for. He was a consummate professional when it came to his lifelong career as a carpenter, contractor and handyman and loved working with his hands. Denny had a deep love for the game of baseball and spent many seasons managing and umpiring local leagues at various levels. He was a long-time local dart and shuffleboard champion and had full command of the pool table whenever he was out with his friends at Reese's Tavern or Tony's Place. He was often seen around town on his Harley-Davidson or in his Mustang convertible as he hopped from place to place to see the friends and family he loved so much. He had an affinity for music and would often be seen hovering around the jukebox anywhere he went, could name any "oldie" and was often seen frequenting shows at the Keswick Theater. Denny, or "Pappy" as he was known to his grandchildren, was a one of a kind grandfather who loved with kindness and always made sure that his grandchildren were taken care of.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dennis' Life Celebration on September 11, 2021 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, Pa 18976.
