Obituary

Dominick Marco Mastrocola, 88, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Norristown, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2018. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Rose (nee Gambone) and Gasper Mastrocola.

Dominick leaves behind his beloved wife of 20 years, Helen (nee O'Brien). He is also survived by his children Donna Johnson (Chris), Rose Couchara (Joseph), Patricia Lucey (John), Dominic Mastrocola (Wayne Smeltzer) and Joseph Mastrocola (Joanne Bongiovi). He shared his loving children with his wife Margaret, who predeceased him in 1986. Dominick also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and step-son, Rob Panzullo (Yolanda). He is survived by 5 sisters; Carmella, Phyllis, Yolanda, Janey and Marion. He was predeceased by one brother, Gasper (Doc) and one sister, Rosie (Migliarese).

Dominick was self-employed in the Trucking Business and the owner of Dominick's Place, a tavern in Birdsboro, PA. Many locals in the Norristown area will remember him as the Jewel Tea Man, a salesman for the Jewel Tea Company for many years. He was also employed by Henkles and McCoy in Blue Bell. Dominick enjoyed gardening, fishing, crabbing, and boating, but especially loved to cook and feed everyone around him.

He belonged to the Lions Club, Variety Club Camp, and was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dominick's life on Wednesday May 2 at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N Trooper Rd in Norristown, from 9:00-11:00 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
