Obituary

Donald "Dan" Massino, of Audubon, passed away peacefully on Friday April 7, 2017. He was 91 years old. Born April 30, 1925 in Swedesburg, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Marie (nee Dell'Angelo) Massino and the beloved husband of the late Wilma "Billie" (nee Hayes) Massino.

Dan was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, class of 1943. He was a US Army Veteran , and served during World War II as a member of the 715th Railway Battalion in Italy and West Africa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council #7565, VFW Post #840, and the American Legion Post #090. Dan worked as an electrician at Alan Wood Steel and later at Worthington Industries. He enjoyed sports and his favorite teams were the Phillies, Eagles, Penn State Football, and UConn Huskies Women's Basketball. Dan will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Dan is survived by his three children; Daniel and his wife Cheryl, Kevin, and Francis and his wife Patricia, six grandchildren; Kellan, Carly, Morgan, Braeden, Jack and Grace, and sister-in-law Olga Massino. He was preceded in death by his two brothers; Frank and Robert Massino and his sister Philomena Massino.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Dan's Life Celebration on Tuesday April 11, from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday April 12, from 9-10 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at Visitation BVM Church 190 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown, PA 19403. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
