Dorothy A. DeBlasio (nee Barnes) passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, February 25, 2017, at home. She was 75.

Only child of Florence and Leroy Barnes, she was born in Trenton, NJ. She was raised and lived most of her life in Hamilton, NJ until moving to the Attleboro Retirement Community in Langhorne, PA in 2004. She graduated from Steinert High School in 1959 and from the Mercer Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She spent most of her professional career as a registered nurse at Mercer Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

Dot loved to travel and to visit the New Jersey shore. She was an avid reader and card player. She was an active member of the Mercer Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association for many years. In recent years she was a member of the Attleboro Players Drama Club and an occasional contributor to the Hubbub newsletter. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and was known for her thoughtful cards and notes sent for all occasions.

Dot was the loving wife of Louis J. DeBlasio, Jr. for 34 years until his passing in 1998. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine DeBlasio and Michael Lord of Sterling, VA, her daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Michael Leszczyszyn of Feasterville, PA, her granddaughter, Teressa Leszczyszyn of Newport News, VA, her grandson, Paul Leszczyszyn of Feasterville, PA, several cousins and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to Dot's Life Celebration, from 7pm to 9pm, on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Dunn-Givnish of Langhorne, 378 South Bellevue Avenue. An additional calling hour will be from 8:30am until 9:30am on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30am, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Feasterville, PA . Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Trenton, NJ.
