Obituary

Dorothy M. Campanini passed away peacefully on November 12, 2018 at age 88. Born in East Norriton, Dorothy was the daughter of Gertrude (Benhke) and Zerah Ward. She resided in Plymouth Meeting with her beloved husband, the late Joseph A. Campanini who passed away in 1991.
Dorothy was the loving mother of Sandra Geiger (John), Joseph Campanini (Meg) and Dodie Campanini Sclafani. She was the cherished grandmother of Chrissy Lindley (Ryan), CJ Sclafani (Gillian), Michael Sclafani (Nicole), Johnny Geiger, Jackie Paterson (Kyle), Peter Campanini (Missy), Patrick Campanini, Andrew Campanini and great grandmother of 11. Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Gertrude Forrest, Marion Testa and brother James Ward. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ward.

Living her entire life in East Norriton and then Norristown/Plymouth Meeting, Dorothy loved to bake in her kitchen and was an avid gardener who always followed and rooted for her local sports teams, the Phillies and Eagles. Dorothy also loved playing a good game of blackjack. She worked earlier in her life as an operator for Bell Telephone and later as a medical packer at Sharpe. Dorothy nourished people around her with faith and love, she truly loved everyone unconditionally and her entire life focused on giving to others.

Some of her favorite times out and about were shopping with her family, dining out at various restaurants, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and activities. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family in Sea Isle City, Disney World, Oregon and Las Vegas as well as attending family reunions. Dorothy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way and her bright smile would warm the hearts of all. Her husband Joe always said, "God broke the mold when my wife was born." We have been given a gift to be truly touched by an Angel who will be missed more than words can say.
