Obituary

Edward L Bean, Jr died on April 10, 2021 at the age of 77.
He graduated from Norristown High School and earned a degree from LaSalle University. He worked as an engineer at ATC in King of Prussia then went on to own his own businesses, The Runners Edge and Tech Service Associates.

Ed served in the U.S. Marines from 1963 to 1967 with a tour of duty in Vietnam with the 1st M.A.W. in Chu-Lai and Da Nang. He was a proud Vietnam Vet and a Life Member of VVA Chapter 349 and VFW Post 7155. The core values of every Marine-Honor, Courage, and Commitment showed in Ed's beliefs and honor to his country.

His interests included playing Softball and Tennis, Bowling, Classic cars, Poker, Physical Fitness (among others)and through the years met many lifelong friends through these groups.
Always proud of his family and lovingly supported them, he is survived by a son, Michael Bean, Loving Companion Pat Cieslinski, 3 sisters Betty Rittenbaugh and Partner Pete Sylvester, Carol Panaccio and husband Tony, and Linda Bean. Also brother-in-law Bur Dotter.
Nieces and nephews include Gerry Patton and wife Collette, Kim Patton and Partner Marie Walters, Tracey Wagner-Hanley and husband Jamie Hanley, Shannon Fanaro and husband Jamie, Margie Yarish and husband Mark, Billy Dotter and wife Maria, Charlie Dotter and wife Kari, and Stevie Dotter and wife Alethea. He also had 13 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Ed Sr & Elizabeth Bean, a sister-in-law Mairzie Dotter and his loving wife of 34 years Fran (Stets) Bean who he always said was "The most wonderful spouse in the world."

A public memorial will be held later in fall, after COVID restrictions are eased or lifted. Please continue to check our website periodically for updates.
