Elizabeth M. Wenhold, "Betty" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, passed away into God's loving care on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Gloria Dei Personal Care at the Park. She was 97 years old. Betty was born in Hamilton, Scotland on September 13, 1920 to the late Daniel and Elizabeth (nee Dick) Morrison and emigrated to the United States in 1925. Betty was a 1938 graduate of Cheltenham High School and graduated from Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1943. She continued being involved with the school, serving as Treasurer for the Nursing Alumni Association for many years. Betty served honorably in the United States Army during WWII from 1944 to 1945, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. She served with the 126th Evacuation Hospital and was stationed in Belgium, France, and Germany during the war. Betty was devoted to the Lord and was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for almost 60 years. In that capacity, she was a member of the church choir and served on the Church Council, and for a period of time was the Treasurer of the church. In her free time, Betty enjoyed baking, sewing, and knitting and loved her summers in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Betty is survived by her four loving children: Elizabeth W. Black (William) of Naples, FL., Jeffrey A. Wenhold (Donna) of Ft. Lauderdale FL., Rev. Gregory R. Wenhold (IdaLynn) of Naperville, IL., and Amelia W. Silva (Ricardo) of Fairfield, CT.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Brian, Andrew, Elizabeth, Daniel, Halie, Gregory, Amanda, Carolyn, Justin, and Cara and five great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Alexis, Mackenzie, Cameron, and Cecilia. Betty is also survived by her brother Daniel Morrison (Mary) of Southampton PA, and predeceased by her siblings Mary, Isabelle, Jean, and Robert.

Relatives and friends are invited to Betty's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 2086 Parkview Ave. Abington PA, 19001from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by her memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
