Obituary

Elizabeth M. Staats "Bunny" (nee O'Hara) of West Norriton, passed away peacefully on Sunday May, 21, 2017 at her home, with family by her side. She was 68 years old. Born December 16, 1948 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of Eugene and Helen (nee Peterson) O' Hara and the beloved wife of Jim Staats with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.

Bunny attended school at St. Francis and graduated in 1962, she remained active with St. Francis and was instrumental in class reunions. Bunny met her husband Jim while they were at Bishop Kenrick High School and graduated together in 1966. They traveled together frequently before raising a family. Bunny enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She spent most of her time taking care of others, both young and old. Bunny would never miss any of her daughters' recitals or her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed her annual visits to Sea Isle City with the entire family. She also loved hosting family gatherings. Bunny will be remembered as a sweet woman who always had a smile on her face, so many would refer to her as an angel.
