Obituary

Previti
Elvira (Vera) Julia Previti, 93, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends, on February 11, 2013. She was born on March 16, 1919, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she had lived with her beloved husband Matthew J. Previti, Captain of the Atlantic City Fire Dept./ Training Instructor and her children for 30 years.
She was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and an avid enthusiastic member of the "OGNIB" Club for over 30 years. She worked for the Board of Elections and The Atlantic City Convention Center for many years. Vera also worked for Jewels of the World on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Another passion was working in a Valet Shop where she was a seamstress. She loved being sociable.
Vera was the best at her baking and her specialty was the one and only "Italian Cream Cake" that only her husband was honored with on his birthday. Christmas cookies were the best around and she could never bake enough of them. Sunday spaghetti and meatballs was the great family get together of all. Hopefully, there were meatballs left after she fried them and hid them from us. She loved crocheting and designing clothes for her children and grandchildren and showing them off in style. She loved her basketball and her favorite team was the 76'ers.
Vera was well known and loved by everyone. She spent her entire life being a caring, loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife. Being with her family and dedicating her time to her grandchildren and her "Bella" Alexandra the only great grandchild born to the family, gave her the rejuvenation to live her life so peacefully and more lovingly.
She is predeceased by her husband, Matthew James Previti, two sisters Margaret LaBattaglia and Anna Morro, five brothers Philip, Ernest, Albert, Vincent and Alfred Gracco. She leaves to cherish her fond memories four children, Margherita Price of Ventnor NJ, Lucille Sheff of Sewell, NJ, Mary and Matthew Previti of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; three grandchildren, Michele Franco of Egg Harbor Twp, NJ, Judyann Price Boccadoro (Michael) of Henderson, NV and Ryan Sheff of Folsom NJ; one great grandchild, Alexandra Franco of Egg Harbor Twp, NJ.
Relatives and Friends may celebrate her passing on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Viewing from 9 to 10 A.M., Mass to follow from 10 to 11 A.M. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 10 N. Mississippi Ave. Atlantic City NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona, New Jersey.
