Eugene W. "Red" Hieber, of Lower Makefield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice the age of 80, with his loving family by his side.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 ½ years Jacqueline. Along with their children, Kim (Larry) Hanshaw, Gary (Julianna) Hieber, Cyndy (Jeff) Diegel, Dan (Kelly Nise) Hieber and grandchildren Caitlin Hieber, Jen Diegel, Gary (Kim) Hieber, Andrew Hieber, Kyle Hieber, Brooke Diegel, Shannon Diegel, Shane Hieber and great grandson Kristofferson Hieber. His sister Ruth Turpin and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Lower Makefield on the same property all his life. A Graduate of Pennsbury High School, he was the Owner & President of Scrappy's Auto Service Inc, Bucks County International lnc., BCl ldealease Inc. and BCI Truck Inc. He was awarded ATD Truck Dealer of the year and awarded Who's Who in PA.

He was a Master Mason, a member of Newtown Lodge 427 for 56 years, and a 32 degree Scottish Rite of the Valley of Lehigh. He was a member of Crescent Shrine and president of the mini car division. He was the longest current member of Langhorne Rotary and serving as past-president. He was a Gundaker recipient and Paul Harris Fellow, and received numerous awards from Rotary.

His passions were his family first, his friends, his animals and his businesses. To relax, nothing was better than climbing on a tractor, backhoe or bulldozer and go plow his fields. His love of Auto Racing, started at Langhorne Speedway, then as the" Racing Reds ", his children raced Quarter Midgets through-out the country. Which led them to racing asphalt and dirt modifies, silver crown and sprint cars at a professional level, a family tradition that continued with his grandchildren. Idle moments were wasted moments as far as he was concerned, he lived each day to the fullest. He was proud Republican. He was a man of integrity, a man of his word. A handshake would seal the deal.

The family thanks all for their prayers, support and love over the years. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration on Monday from 4-8pm at Dunn Givnish of Langhorne, 378 S Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA and to participate in his Memorial Service at 8:00pm. Masonic Service will be held at 7:45pm.

Burial will be private for the family.
