Evelyn G. Pacino a resident of New Hope and formerly of Queens New York died peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013. She was 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ciro (Charles) Pacino. Born in Queens, New York of the late James and Kathryn Gleason she was sister to Amy Ruggiero and to the late Charlie, James, John, Eugene, Edwin, Rita and Norma as well as many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was valedictorian of her graduating class. She fell in love with the man of her dreams at the 1939 World's Fair and they shared over 50 wonderful years together.
After raising her daughter, Evelyn went on to work for 35 years as office manager and nursing assistant for several prominent gastroenterologists. Her patients adored her and she was sorely missed when she retired at the age of 84.
Evelyn was an exceptional woman who always put others before herself. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Joann P. Hutchison and husband Randy of Buckingham; granddaughters Debra Kilgariff and husband David of Solebury, Pamela Sime-Cummins and husband Jeff of Quakertown and Dana Cozza and husband Paul of Hilltown; and six great-grandchildren, David, Christina and Matthew Kilgariff, Jessica Strong, and Abigail and Kathryn Cozza.
Relatives and friends are invited to Evelyn's Life Celebration, from 6-8PM Thursday and from 9-10AM Friday at Leaver/Cable of Buckingham, 4886 York Rd., followed by her Funeral Mass, 11AM Friday, August 9th at the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Rd., Doylestown.
