Florence (Horowitz) Lerit, 83, of Delray Beach, FL., passed away Tuesday February 13, in Florida. She was born, raised and grew up in Brooklyn. She worked on the 77th floor of the Empire State building when she was only 16 years old.  After she was married, she and her husband owned and operated Ray's Deli on Perry Street,Trenton NJ. Later they ran Ray and Flo's Deli in Villa Park, Hamilton, NJ. She had also worked at Capital Linen Service, Beneficial ,The Butterfly Shop, and eventually the State of NJ where she retired from  the Division of Motor Vehicles. She worked full time and managed to raise three daughters. After her husband passed, she moved from Morrisville to Whiting, NJ. She was a snowbird, spending six months in Delray Beach and the other 6 in NJ.  Always vibrant, full of energy; she liked to dance, go to shows, movies, dinners and cruises. She was living the life of Retirement. She was an avid shopper of HSN. While in Florida living in Seville M, she was the director of her walk for the Association Board.  She was a social director planning activities for both Kings Point and at Crestwood in NJ. She loved to play Mahjong and Canasta. She loved her family and always spoke highly of them. A beauty of fashion, like a model in Vogue, she had a big heart, generous hug and a warm smile. She was the one everyone wanted to be friends with in Kings Point and at Crestwood.  Daughter of the late  Louis and Helen Horowitz , Wife of the late Ramon Lerit, Sister of the late Howard (Susan) Horowitz , Sister in law of the late Claire (Bernie) Frank, Laura Schiff , Sonny (Rita) Lerit, very close cousin to the late Blanche (Paul) Cantor, close friend to the late Roz Merkler,  mother in law to the late Allen Leichter , she is survived by three daughters Mindy (Robert) Ringkamp, Robin (Michael) Nagy, Shari Leichter, a sister Elayne (Richard) Solomon,  grandchildren Lee Nagy, Alexa (Sean) Logan , Haley Ringkamp, step-grandchildren Micheal, Melanie, Heather, Aaron, Brandon, great-grandchildren Sage and Ari. Nieces, Alicia, Lorraine, Gail, Roberta, nephews Brian, Harvey, Bradley, and longtime companion Bruno Maccario , his daughter Loren, and grandchildren Jonathan and Dante. Cousins Cantors, Fleischmans, Pressmans, Nadels, Schlessingers as well as step great grand children and many good friends.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, November 21st,  from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by Funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home 7400 New Falls Rd. Levittown, Pa 19055. Interment will follow at the People of Truth Cemetery, Cedar Lane Hamilton, NJ. Shivah will be observed at the Leichter residence in Yardley, Wednesday,Thursday and Saturday evenings.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Phila., Pa 19103. Arrangements are under the direction of Riverside Memorial Chapels 1310 Prospect St. Ewing Twp, NJ.
