Obituary

Francesca (Ciaccio) Colletti of Blue Bell, PA died on Saturday morning, June 29, 2019 in the Artman Lutheran Senior Home in Ambler, PA at the age of 88 years old. She was the loving wife of 57 years to Antonio Colletti. She was born in Sciacca, Sicily (Italy) on February 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Giuseppe Ciaccio and Calogera (Lilla Modica) Ciaccio. Francesca worked as a farmer before coming to the United States in 1962. Before her retirement, Mrs. Colletti was employed as a seamstress/garment worker at the former Gordon-Ford and Thorngate Uniform companies. She was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown.

Her greatest pleasure was working in the vegetable garden along with her husband, making homemade wine and canning vegetables & fruit, sewing clothes by hand for her family, music and a 5-star cook & baker. She is survived by her son Vito and his wife Mary (Ferki) Colletti of Plymouth Meeting, PA and her daughter Francesca Vanelli of Harleysville, PA. Her four grandchildren Katerina Colletti-Sally and husband Matthew Sally and their son William Vito (Liam) Sally and Anthony Colletti and Joseph and John Vanelli also survive her.

Her sister Maria Schittone, living in Sciacca, Sicily (Italy) survives Francesca. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, on Sunday evening, July 7, 2019 from 6 to 8:00 PM and again on Monday morning at Holy Saviour R.C. Church from 9-9:45 AM followed by her funeral mass celebration at 10:00 AM in Holy Saviour Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown. Entombment will be in St. Patrick's Mausoleum in East Norriton Township, PA. A luncheon will be held after burial at Presidential Caterers, 2910 DeKalb Pike, East Norriton, Pennsylvania, 19401. All are welcome to attend.
