Obituary

Francis H. Miller, "Hocky", of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 17th surrounded by his family at the age of 93.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Annie (Hackney) Miller. "Hocky" was a retired truck driver very active with Teamsters Local 500 for many years. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy, serving during critical battles of WW II which included commanding a LST during the largest amphibious invasion in history, the Battle of Normandy. Mr. Miller trained horses, loved animals (particularly dogs), was an avid golfer, and enjoyed the challenge of word-search puzzles and lottery scratch-offs. He will forever be remembered for his wit, respected for the sacrifices he made for his family and country, and appreciated for life-lessons he provided others even in his last days.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Barbara E. (Mueller) Miller; four children, Elizabeth A. Hoffmann (George), Barbara A. Letherland (John), Cynthia L. Bragg (Curtis) and Francis J. Miller; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Francis' Life Celebration on Wednesday January 24th starting at 10:30am at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd., Feasterville, PA 1953, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Interment with Military Honors will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery followed by a gathering at the home of Cynthia and Curtis Bragg.
