Francis V. Williams, Jr. "Frank" of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Monday July 19, 2021. He was 77 years old. Born May 13, 1944 in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Francis V. Sr. and Bea E. (nee Morley) Williams and the beloved husband of Cynthia A. (nee Ganteaume) Williams, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife Cynthia, Frank is survived by his two loving
daughters Lura Williams and Cynthia Thompson (Jevar); six grandchildren: Alexis, Zharell, Jayden, Jaxon, Bella, and Hendrix and three great grandchildren: Kennedi, Camryn and Isaiah. He is also survived by his brother Gerry (Charlotte) and three sisters: Maureen Curry (Charlie), Judy Richetti, and Joan McCaul, and many nieces, nephews and cousins near and abroad. He was preceded in death by his son Francis V. Williams, III (Brittany).

Frank grew up in Havertown, PA and was a graduate of Haverford High School Class of 1963. Following his high school graduation, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as part of his service. While serving abroad, Frank was assigned as an X-ray tech, which led to his lifelong career in radiology. When he returned home, Frank continued his education and jumpstarted his career at Sacred Heart Hospital. While working at Sacred Heart, Frank put himself through school, and he graduated from The Hahnemann Medical College with a BS in Radiological Sciences. He had a long and successful career with the Cooper Health System from 1988-2016 as the Director of the Radiography School. Frank was instrumental in the formation and development of the School of Diagnostic Imaging at Cooper University Hospital and served as a mentor to hundreds of radiologic technologists in the Delaware Valley. Throughout his life, Frank was well respected by his colleagues, students, friends and family alike. He was dedicated to both his family and profession, and served as a teacher and mentor to all. He was a fun and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Frank was a pillar of strength, the essence of humility and an example of quiet, steadfast loyalty to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Frank's Life Celebration on Monday July, 26, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000, and on Tuesday from 10 AM to 10:50 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 600 Hamilton St. Norristown. His Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at
