Obituary

Francis William Wilson, 78 of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017. Born on August 16, 1938, Francis (better known by his nickname, Frank) was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was well known and respected as a Jockey Agent for The Philadelphia Race Track / Parx Casino. He also spent many years as an expert upholsterer working with local businesses and within the horse racing franchise. Frank loved building and repairing automobiles which made him a fine mechanic. His ultimate joy during his lifetime was being a loving father and grandfather. Surviving is his children, Francis P. Wilson, Kelly A. Schultz and her husband, Peter; Kimberly A. Wilson and Kathleen A. Tait. Also survived by his seven grandchildren: Hailee, Michael, Anthony, Conner, Julian, Lucas and Baby Mike. The son of Anne and Lou Wilson, Frank is predeceased by his sister Belva Meeks; survived by her husband Harry; and his two nieces Kathleen and Carol and their children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Francis' Life Celebration on Friday, April 28, 2017, 10 AM at John F. Givnish Funeral Home located at 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia. A funeral mass will follow at 11 AM at St. Martha Church, located at 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery located at 3301 Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia.
