George D. Sullivan, Sr. passed away with his family by his side on February 26, 2018 at age 67. Born in Norristown on June 22, 1950, George was the son of Anne E. (Demchick) and William M. Sullivan, Sr. He resided in Norristown with his beloved wife of 33 years, Charlotte (Dever) Sullivan.

George was the loving father of George D. Sullivan, Jr., Steven C. Sullivan, Bryan P. Sullivan (Emmarose DiGiovanni) and Valerie M. Sullivan. He was the brother of Patrick M. Sullivan, Sr., the late William M. Sullivan, Jr. (Lorraine), Susan Sullivan, and Jeff L. Sullivan. He is also survived by his in-laws: Peggy Gulotta, Robert Schodle, Patricia Dever, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by Joe Gulotta Sr., Joe Gulotta Jr., Marie (Dever) Schodle, Joe Dever, David Dever, and Michael Dever.

A man of unbound energy, George was a master carpenter, and a proud business owner later to become an employee of TCI Construction. He spent a few years in Los Angeles California and Phoenix Arizona as a Local 44 Propmaker involved in the construction of sets for Universal Studios in such movies as The Kingdom, and When a Stranger Calls. He was a member of the Fairmount Engine Co. #2 of Norristown, and, in his free time, George was able to find time for a multitude of passions including spending time fishing, drawing and cartooning, and building furniture. He was a gourmet cook and played the organ. George's universe revolved around Charlotte, his children and extended family, whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to George's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Thursday, March 1st from 6-8 PM and again Friday, March 2nd from 9-10:15 AM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Church at 11 AM followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.
