Obituary

Gertrude Julia Lubrano (nee Bello) of Eagleville, Pa was welcomed into heaven on December 7, 2017 at 89 years old. Trudy was born on February 15, 1928 to the late Alberto and Antoinetta Bello (nee Granata) of Philadelphia.

Trudy was the devoted wife of 67 years to Rocco Vincent, loving mother to Joseph Lubrano, and Gina Marie Destafney (John) and affectionate and tender grandmother to Stephanie Elisabeth, Rocco Christian (Casey), and Connor John, whom she loved and adored and was proud of. Sister to Albert Bello (Ernestine) and the late Jean Rubeo (James), and the late Louis Bello, and treasured by family and friends.

After graduating South Philadelphia High School, Trudy worked for the Philadelphia Navy Yard as a secretary, then in 1950, she married the love of her life, Rocco, and shortly after began a family. Trudy returned to work as a transcriptionist for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company until she retired in March 1992. She also dedicated much of her time to Visitation BVM Parish and as a volunteer for American Red Cross. Trudy enjoyed listening to and attending operas, knitting and crocheting; but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. She was a spiritual, humble, charitable and kind woman with a contagious smile and personality. She will be deeply missed, and cherished by everyone who was blessed to have met her.
